Red Lip of the Day: Maybelline Red Revival and Becca Fuchsia Crush Glossy Lip Tint by Erin Baynham

Red Lip of the Day: Maybelline Red Revival and Becca Fuchsia Crush Last year, my best friend Miriam was going out and needed a red lipstick. She was at her local drugstore and didn't have much time to spare. She called me, and I went to twitter. There were 7 or 8 responses for Maybelline Red Revival lipstick, so she picked it up. So did I.

Maybelline Red Revival with Becca Fuchsia Crush Glossy Lip Tint

Maybelline Red Revival has pigment, shine and coverage, all rammed into one tube of lipstick. It's really freakin' amazing. I added only a swipe of Becca Glossy Tint, on the bottom of my lips, then blended. I own many, many tubes of red lipstick. This has to be in my top 10, and definitely sits in the top 3 of my favorite drugstore reds. Kudos, Maybelline!

Neutral Lip Of The Day: Black Opal So Natural Lipstick and Maybelline Touch of Toffee Lipgloss by Erin Baynham

Neutral Lips on a Budget: Black Opal and Maybelline

Today's Lip of the Day is a mix of budget brands. I totally forgot I owned the Maybelline lipgloss, and it worked perfectly with the Black Opal lipstick!

My go-to brown lip liner is NYX Expresso. It's the $3 knockoff for MAC Chestnut. I apply it first, then rub my lips together like there's no tomorrow. The goal is to not have a super defined lip aka no harsh brown lines. The particular Black Opal lipstick that I have isn't as smooth and creamy as the others that I own, and kind of has that old lady lipstick smell. Either way, I'm pleased with the results!

Don't Spend A Ton... by Erin Baynham

Why spend on pricey cosmetics when you can shop without being hassled at your local pharmacy or supermarket? I am a big advocate in the "you get what you pay for" theory. But a bargain is never a bad thing. Here are a few categories were being frugal are a benefit.

Lipgloss-I have

L'Oreal glosses

that are just as pretty as my

. Shop around, you would be surprised at how many department store knock-offs you can find!

Mascara-Every great celebrity makeup artist out there is a fan of two mascaras, L'Oreal Voluminous and Maybelline Great Lash. Need I say more?

Eye Shadows-If you use the right base, you can make virtually any eyeshadow pop. Milani makes an awesome selection of colors, as well as the cheapest. They even sell eye shadow quads and sets so that you can make a quick selection! I'll be doing an exclusive story on Milani soon!
