Another person I adore!!! Her videos are always so entertaining and edited beautifully! I met in Baltimore this Summer and we talked forever. This video is all about hair growth, and lack there of. This is not just about natural hair. It’s an AWESOME video. AWESOME I tell you. Definitely a must see. Like, now!
This isn’t a new video, but it’s a really, really good reference for those of you who want more Make Up For Ever products. I met Reena at The Makeup Show and she is so awesome. This video made my list grow. Plus, she has some fabulous makeup organization videos, and many, many haul videos.
Scott Barnes has been featured on my blog many times, I live for his makeup! In fact, I’ll be featuring his products on Youtube and my blog again in the upcoming days. He’s got a whole series of makeup tutorials up on Youtube, and this is one of my favorites. Here’s a fun way to use the MAC Cosmetics Holiday Naughty Eye Bag! I have Shimmertime pigment from it’s launch a few years ago. I should try this look! She also did a really great (and completely honest) review of Sam Fine’s DVD. She makes me want it even more!
Here’s a video that showcases Nars blushes side by side! Genius idea. She’s got quite a few, so this is an introduction to lots of new (and limited edition) shades! Nars makes the best blushes ever, In my opinion.
Alrighty, let me tell you. I have never seen NYX pigments, but I’m going to need some. Now. She created this entire look for about $10! Her philosophy is that you should never break the bank on beauty products. Smart way of thinking, no? BTW, I have a major crush on her locs!!!

Real Housewives of Atlanta are totally taking over my life. Every Thursday, I make sure that I have set aside the time at 10pm to watch them on Bravo. A few weeks ago, I noticed for the 50th time that Nene wore pink and purple on the eyes. It set off that “OMG-I-need-to-do-a-tutorial-STAT!” feeling in my bones. By 2am, I had one eye completely finished, and by 4am the tutorial was up and running on Youtube. I made it a lot more vivid than Nene usually does, but you can definitely keep it toned down and wear it successfully. Gotta love how Nene isn’t afraid of color!
One of the keys to this look (and so many others) is the base. Painterly Paint Pot made a vast impact on this look. Many people shy away from this color because it doesn’t match their skin tone. I love Painterly because every color that you use with it comes out looking perfect! Think of it this way. If you have a purple marker and you write on a purple piece of paper, it won’t show up as well. But if you take the purple pencil and write on a white piece of paper, you’ll have a much more noticeable drawing. If you wanted a frosty, more metallic look, using a cream on top of the paint pot makes a huge difference. For this look, I used a pink cream colour base by MAC Pro. Since then, however, I’ve found Make Up For Ever Flash Color in white, which will be my base for frosty shadows for now on! Remember, use a very thin layer and use it on top of another base to prolong creasing. Fauryn78 was one of the first artists I ever watched on Youtube. She was also one of the main reasons why I wanted to start my locs! She works for MAC Cosmetics and is growing in the company. She doesn’t really update anymore but she still have over 50 videos to teach and motivate you! A few months ago she combed out her locs and she now has a beautiful fro! I wish I found her years ago. There are a crap load of tutorials out there. I mean really, you can learn how to to almost anything! But, I wanted to show you a really simple, basic way to apply eye shadow. This is a great shadow for a day to day look. This tutorial will show you how to use eye shadows on your lid and crease color, some brush suggestions, and also showcase my new favorite eye shadow primer/base as well as how to apply pencil eye liner. Also, you can step it up by smoking it out! Enjoy, and hope you learn something new!
