Urban Decay 'Naked Skin' Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup Foundation No. 11 Swatches and Review / by Erin Baynham

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation No. 11 I know I'm a little late to this party, but better late then never, no? I bought the Urban Decay 'Naked Skin' Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup a couple months ago, and it has definitely been in heavy rotation. It's a $40 foundation, so it better be amazing.

As you can see, you get a lot in a single pump. This could coverage your entire face if you wanted it to. But you really have to be careful, since there's only an ounce of product in the package. It'll take me a good while to finish it, since I rotate foundations.

Price: $39 Weight: 1 oz.

Here's a before and after picture of the foundation, so you can see just how much it covers. It really evens my skin out without looking unnatural. It's not too red or too yellow, which is great for me since I'm a bit of both.

Urban Decay describes it as:

Coverage without compromise. Our weightless formula blurs imperfections for a flawless finish that feels invisible, but looks professionally retouched. Whoever said 'you can't have the best of both worlds' never tried Naked Skin. Not only does our new light-as-air foundation give you the buildable coverage you desire – it also looks and feels like you're wearing absolutely nothing.Naked Skin uses light-diffusing spheres to 'blur' imperfections for a luminous, demi-matte finish that feels invisible but looks professionally retouched. Naked Skin is oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, and loaded with nourishing ingredients:

How I Apply

I like to use my good old faithful Real Techniques Expert Face Brush ($9), among others. It's inexpensive and buffs like crazy. Can't get enough.

Observations

This foundation is totally buildable-- the more you add, the more coverage you get. Just as the name suggests, it's totally weightless. I never feel like I have on a face full of makeup. This picture was taken minutes after I applied my foundation. I didn't apply a powder, just so I could see how powerful the foundation was on it's own. The foundation does transfer, but not as much as typical foundations.

Results

The picture below was taken six hours later. As you can see, there is minimal shine, which is pretty impressive for me. Although I have dryer skin, my t-zone gets oily fairly quickly. As you can see, there isn't too much oil there. Very nice.
