My Elizabeth Arden Runway Look - What I Really Think / by Erin Baynham

Scandalous Beauty Elizabeth Arden Blogher '12 Look

I'm not going to lie. When I heard that Elizabeth Arden would be doing the makeup for the BlogHer '12 fashion show, I had a blank stare at the computer.Backstage, my makeup artist was great. I love her flawless look, and felt confident that this might work out for me.

The Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion felt and smelled amazing. It was lightweight, yet my face felt intensely hydrated. It's cucumber scented. Oh man, that's my skincare weakness.

Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation -  This was a shocker. I really liked the coverage, and didn't feel like I had anything on. It worked well with the red in my skin. Not bad at all.

Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Duo - These are great, safe, colors. It's natural for people to put brown women in these shades, and it's natural for us to be stuck in these shades. While these work well, they are quite sheer. If you're into a bit of color, this is great! However, you know me. I want to tone colors down, instead of having to build them up. I can't really justify spending $28.50 on barely there colors.

Smooth Line Lip Pencil in Plum & 8 Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick - I see the quality in the texture, but these aren't colors that I would choose for myself. Just a bit "lifeless" on my skin. They didn't work against my outfits that night, so I went with it.
