I just received this in the mail, and I’m dying to try it out. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow, and we’ll see how it lasts. The pencil is clear, and has a slight “stick” to it. Not uncomfortable at all, but I can see how it might keep your lip color from bleeding. Make Up For Ever always has the answers. : ) Check out the Make Up For Ever Lip Line Perfecter.

Boog’s Barbaque is the spot for delicious pit turkey, beef or pork. It’s your duty as a carnivore to find something there, even if a sandwich is $9. I’m not going to say it’s the greatest pit sandwich you’ll ever have in your life, but it’s part of the territory. Also, be sure to add bbq sauce and onions at the stand across the way. You can get little cups of baked beans or coleslaw too. The new addition? Kettle chips! They are perfectly crisp, and sprinkled with Old Bay. $4 a basket is steep, but hey, you’re at the yard. My boyfriend and I basically fought over them.
Visit either location: Oriole Park at Camden Yards at 333 West Camden Street and in Ocean City in 401 S. Atlantic Ave in Ocean City. Here’s an awesome review on ESPN.
Neutral shadows are such an easy find, especially when you don’t need to add to your ridiculous collection. The Lorac Little Black Palette instantly caught my eye. It has these huge shadows packed with pigment in this adorable little box!
Next, I hit Too Faced. They had a Natural Eye Kit ($33) that was also quite lovely. Some of the colors were a bit lighter than I needed them to be, so I passed.
I ended up walking out with the fabulous Urban Decay Naked Palette. More info soon! : )
Last week, I joined team Iphone. It was an expense to my credit card that I don’t regret! Right on time, I downloaded the Beauty Advisor app. You can learn about which products work best for you from Pantene, Covergirl, Olay and Clairol. I love this app because it’s beautifully crafted, and really makes it easy to find the products that work best for you.
There’s even a digital magazine and detailed reviews about your favorite beauty products. I have to remember rate the Cover Girl Queen Bronzer!
Since I’m trying to save money and my Starbucks addiction doesn’t help, I need to make my own iced coffee. I bought a french press and cold brew system, and of course I didn’t need them. After several Google searches and many, many test batches of coffee concentrate, the New York Times recipe is still the best. The recipe calls for 1/3 cup of coffee, 1 1/2 cups of water, and 12 hours of letting the the coffee sit.
I make mine in mason jars, but any container with a tight lid will work perfectly. I’m testing four roasts of coffees from three places: Zeke’s, Starbucks and Caribou. I’m rooting for Zeke’s since they are a local Baltimore company.
Yesterday, I stated on twitter that I need new makeup storage. I’m one of those girls that still lives at home, and lets her savings account steadily grow for her new home. I’d love the tiny small bedroom in my home to be a closet/makeup studio. There, I’d live a vanity with a 10x mirror, and deluxe beauty storage. Until then, I have a one bedroom that is a library, office, makeup studio, living room and things of the like.
Julia Coney of All About The Pretty told me to organize very carefully. Plastic bins, clearly labeled. As a blogger, you can use a bin for products that you have reviewed, need to be reviewed, need to give away. Also, you can separate by color, brand or product. There are so many options!
Check out my makeup buddy Reena. She has the most intense, well organized makeup storage I’ve ever seen. This is one of my makeup friends, Reena. This video just focuses on her lipgloss storage. It’s beyond creative! This is one of her few storage videos. Check her out at youtube.com/ramnari7.
Here are a few more links to people with great ideas for makeup storage. Just click the image to go to their organization blog posts!

After a trip to the Baltimore Farmers’ Market (located under I-83), I decided to whip up breakfast. Instead of omelets, I chose to make a frittata. It’s packed with spinach, seriously sharp cheddar, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions and fresh salted butter. I used about 4 eggs, and baked the ingredients for 35 minutes. ‘Twas a hit!
