A few weeks back, I met up with Janet Jackson’s Glam Squad, Preston and Cassandra. Since Janet was sick for awhile, her tour was postponed, and her entire tour crew stayed in Baltimore for a few days. I had such an amazing time!!! We went to dinner the night before, just to hang out, have drinks, and get the scoop. Here we are, left to right, Cassandra, Warren, Me and Preston. 
The next night, we did some makeup! This was a true challenge, at least in my opinion. He only had the random makeup that was in my train case. I had NO idea that I was getting my makeup done. We sat in the barely lit room, running back and forth to the bathroom to see what the makeup really looked like in better lighting. The whole time, I couldn’t help but think, these same hands on my face touch Janet’s face. Seriously, Janet Jackson. I’m sitting in mass confusion just wrapping my head around that.
He highlighted, contoured, cut the crease, nipped, tucked and everything else you can imagine, to my face. After that, all I needed was a vicious dance outfit…and lights, camera, ACTION!
I absolutely cannot explain how much I adored my makeup. I was highlighted to perfection!!! I have always wanted a highlight like this, one without tons of shimmer. He used MAC Smooth Harmony Beauty Powder, from the Heatherette collection. Eyes were drenched with MAC Jardin Aires pigment, and he BANGED OUT MY CREASE with Nars Mahogany eye shadow, both of which aren’t being sold anymore! And my lips, coated ever so lightly with Scott Barnes Flossy Glossy in Juicey.
I was just disappointed because we finished around 3am! So, I drove home, stared at my face for another 40 minutes or so, then went to bed. With my makeup on. Yes I said it! And I slept on my back, which I never do. And I looked at my face when I woke up, and I still looked fabulous. And then I came to my senses, got in the shower, and scrubbed the diva off of my face.
Janet’s boyfriend, Jermaine Dupree, has a Youtube channel where he personally vlogs about the good life, as he calls it. On one video, Janet addresses everyone, stage makeup beat to death by Preston. Go ahead, check it out above, it’s ridiculous. (While you’re at it, please watch this video of Janet irked to death by JD!!! I love to see how real she is!! Yes, Janet is a real woman who loves her man, but he CAN still get on her nerves!!! She goes off on him so quitely to, that’s the kicker!!!)
